A pair of new basketball coaches made their debuts at Bandys High School on Friday — both with different results.

The Lady Trojans used a strong third quarter to pick up a 69-53 victory against Fred T. Foard in Mark Story’s first game as girls head coach.

In the night’s finale, the Trojans’ boys basketball team chipped away at a double-digit halftime deficit, but couldn’t come back, falling in Scott Stilwell’s first game as Bandys boys coach.

Haleigh Lackey and Sara Goble each added 10 points for Bandys (1-0).

Kayla Whitworth and Chelsea Turner powered Foard (0-1) with 15 points each.

Dylan Wambold led Bandys (0-1) with nine points. Colton Medlin added eight points, while Kyle Tiffany and Chris Sorrenson had seven points.
