Lady Bucs knock off Milligan for second win

The Catawba Valley Community College women's basketball team picked up its second win of the season on Wednesday with a 92-47 victory over Milligan College at the Tarlton Complex.
Nika Jones led CVCC (2-0) with 24 points and five steals, while former Newton-Conover standout Kadesha Gibbs added 13 points and seven rebounds.
The Lady Bucs led 48-23 at halftime.
Of CVCC's 92 points in Wednesday's game, 62 of those came in the paint.
Kaitlyn Cain led the Lady Buffs with 16 points and seve rrebounds.
CVCC returns to the court Friday for a 5 p.m. game at the Tarlton Complex with Clinton Junior College.
