Jimmie Johnson wins fourth Coca-Cola 600 trophy

It had been a long time since Jimmie Johnson laid claim to the Coca-Cola 600 championship — nine years in fact.

Starting from the pole of Saturday's 55th event, Johnson led a race-high 164 laps en rout to winning the annual Memorial Day weekend race, etching his first victory of the 2014 season.

Kevin Harvick, who was attempting to repeat as Coca-Cola 600 champion, finished in second, followed by Matt Kenseth, Carl Edwards and Sprint All-Star Race winner Jamie McMurray rounded out the top five.
