St. Stephens’ Macy Franklin scored four goals on Wednesday — all in the first half — helping the Lady Indians defeat Ashbrook 6-0 in the third round of the 3A playoffs.

“I started off nervous because the further you get in the playoffs, the better the teams are, but I knew that if we didn’t start off strong, then it’s not going to turn out well," Franklin said. "I was just trying to help the team get motivated and get excited about playing.”

Alex Roarke and Olivia Holmes also netted goals for Saint (19-3-2) in the win.

The Lady Indians have now outscored opponents 19-0 during the 3A playoffs. They defeated Forestview 7-0 in round one and Patton 6-0 in round two.

St. Stephens visits Burns (21-2-1) in the fourth round of the 4A playoffs on Saturday.
