Hornets end 7-year skid versus Iredell, win 6-0

In seven years of playing against the Iredell Warriors, the Catawba County Hornets didn't have much luck.

That fortune all changed this past Saturday night.

Hornets defender Treon Harris-Lane forced a costly Warriors' fumble in the fourth quarter, and teammate Chad Newton scooped up the loose ball and returned it for a touchdown — the lone score of the game — as the Hornets went on to win the contest, 6-0, at Westside/Jaycee Park in Newton.
