Hornets blank Red Wolves in season opener

In front of more than 150 fans, the Catawba County Hornets made an emphatic statement to start their season Saturday, rolling to a 62-0 victory against the visiting Winston-Salem Red Wolves at Westside/Jaycee Park.

The Hornets will try to improve to 2-0 this Saturday when they host the Albemarle Panthers at Westside/Jaycee Park at 8 p.m.
