History museum goes to the dogs

June 22, 2012

This year’s annual meeting of the Catawba County Historical Association is “Going to the Dogs.”

To be more precise it is celebrating the official State of North Carolina Dog — the Plott Hound. The feature events of the annual meeting are North Carolina historian, Plott Hound breeder, and author Bob Plott and the opening of an exhibit entitled “Our State Dog: The Carolina Plott Hound.”

To read more of this story, pick up the weekend print edition of Catawba County's community newspaper, The Observer News Enterprise, at newsstands throughout the county.
