Former Hickory High and current N.C. State track and field standout Ryan Hill ended his collegiate career on Saturday.

Hill finished in ninth place in the 1,500-meter final during Saturday's NCAA Championships at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore.

He completed the race with a time of 3:52.06, giving Hill his 10th All-American honor in his collegiate career — seven of which came in outdoor track (the third-most in school history).

The other three All-American accolades for Hill came in cross country.

Hill is expected to compete next on June 19-23 in Des Moines, Iowa at the 2013 USA Track and Field Championships.
