Hildebran man arrested for meth

Steven Dewayne Icard, 37, of Hildebran was arrested Wednesday, April 3 for Felony Manufacturing Methamphetamine, Felony Conspire Manufacture Methamphetamine and Felony Possession/Distribution Meth Precursor. Catawba County Sheriff’s Office was able to make the arrest after finding warrants for Icard that span back to a case in 2011.

Icard was arrested after a traffic stop on Wednesday, said Long View Police Department and  Catawba County Sheriff’s Office officials. According to Sheriff’s Office documents, during the traffic stop a canine was used to search the car. Reports said Icard  and two others were in the vehicle at the time of the stop, but only Icard was arrested.
