For the second-straight day, the Hickory Crawdads and Kannapolis Intimidators split a doubleheader at L.P. Frans Stadium.

Kannapolis won the early game, 7-6, scoring in each of the first four innings.

The biggest of those innings was the top of the second, where the Intimidators scored three runs, including RBIs by Keenyn Walker, Garis Pena and Ross Wilson.

Hickory fought back in the fourth, fifth and sixth innings, scoring three, two and one runs, respectively, but they couldn't come back from the deficit it was facing.

Rougned Odor and Jordan Akins led Hickory with two RBIs each in the first game.

In the nightcap, Hickory picked up a 4-2 win behind one run each in the first four innings.

Hanser Alberto, Zach Cone, Kevin Torres and Alberto each drove in a run in those innings, allowing Hickory to pull ahead and hold on for the victory.

The Crawdads have Wednesday off before hosting Lexington in a four-game series starting Thursday and continuing through the weekend.
