Help needed to operate free dental clinic

April 23, 2012

Area dentists are seeking the help of nearly 200 volunteers for an upcoming dental clinic that will look to serve hundreds — possibly even thousands — in need of care.

The N.C. Dental Society’s Missions for Mercy (MOM) clinic will be held for the first time at the Hickory Metro Convention Center from July 27-28. The “stopgap” dental clinic will provide free treatment to men and women in pain, as well as those who have dental problems that can lead to other health issues.
