Halloween tradition cancelled

September 11, 2012

Maiden says “no” more to congested streets and road closes on Halloween.
This year the town is not closing down the street and the two area churches famous for festivities are opting to not participate in the annual event as well.

“We really enjoy Halloween, it was just getting so big,” said Maiden Town Council Member Fore Rembert. “Last year we had 1,500 trick-or-treaters, and there was some expense to that.”

While Rembert is one of many Maiden residents who live on East Main Street, he said that from year to year they have never had a problem. Rembert said its always been great for the kids and only lasts a couple hours and then its done.

why would they keep a tradition like that maiden has nothing to offer but drugs and manufacturing!!!! hey kids why dont you drop out of high school so you can start having kids at 16 and then your baby daddy can work at one of the many fine establishments here in our town and since your still NOT gonna have any money we can support you on welfare, its the american dream!!!! and late at night you can go on a date by taking all 4 of your kids under the age of 6 on a walk to the park where you can also pick up your dope at your local dealer!!!

then why are they stopping
