Grayson's HR, 3 RBIs lift Crawdads into first place

The Hickory Crawdads moved into first place in the Northern Division Second-Half standings with a 6-2 road victory over the Kannapolis Intimidators on Monday.

Right fielder Chris Grayson led the 'Dads (4-1 in the second half, 40-34 overall) with three RBIs, all of which came on a seventh-inning home run. The bomb was Grayson's eighth of the season.

Shortstop Rougned Odor, third baseman Drew Robinson and second baseman Alejandro Selen also had one RBI each in the victory.

On the mound, Victor Payano picked up the win, improving to 5-3 on the season. He allowed three hits, no runs, one walk and struck out four in his five-inning appearance.

The Crawdads and the Intimidators (3-1, 36-38) continue their four-game series tomorrow with game two in Kannapolis. Game time is set for 7:05 p.m.
