Grand prize winners are announced

Two Newton residents and a family from Sherrills Ford each won a grand prize pack valued at $800.
Jessica Nicholas from Newton dropped her entry slip into the Hometown Christmas gift box while she was paying her city of Newton utility bill at Newton’s city hall.

Nicholas’ prize pack consisted of gift certificates, a piece of furniture and other goodies from area merchants who participated in Hometown Christmas.

Mark Cameron of Sherrills Ford dropped his entry slip into the Hometown Christmas gift box at “Once Upon a Child” while shopping. 

Cameron won the second grand prize that consisted of a new set of tires valued at $800 from Paramount Auto.
