Gov. looks at damage

Catawba County Emergency Management is asking citizens who  reported damage from the July 27 flooding to remain patient as the damage assessment process continues. 

The number of reports of damage increased during the day on Tuesday, July 30 and additional assessment teams are being created to assess damage.  The process of requesting assistance from the State of North Carolina began on Monday, July 29 with a formal letter of request but that process is expected to take weeks to complete.
