Golf writer speaks at Green Room

“It was very intimate. He is a great storyteller. He just pulled up a stool in the front and he sat there and told the story of his life,” said Lisa Hart, a member of the LRU Writers Series Steering Committee. “He was very entertaining.”

Monday night at the Green Room Community Theatre in Newton, renowned golf writer James Dodson, lectured about his career as an author, editor and avid golf fanatic. The Lenoir-Rhyne University Writers Series and the Hickory Rock Barn Classic sponsored Dodson as one of many future speakers the program will host throughout the year.
