Billy “Mark” Sigmon, 50, of Maiden, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2010, at Catawba Valley Medical Center of a possible blood clot to the lungs. The family will receive friends, prior to the service, Saturday, Sept. 25, from 10–10:45 a.m. at Burke Mortuary Chapel in Maiden.
Dorcas Priscilla Carpenter Gabriel, 85, of Newton, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2010, at Palliative CareCenter and Hospice of Catawba Valley in Newton. Burke Mortuary in Newton is serving the Gabriel family.
