Jane Coley Sigmon, 76, of Newton, died Thursday, Oct. 28, 2010, at Palliative CareCenter and Hospice of Catawba County. The Sigmon family has entrusted funeral arrangements to Willis Reynolds Home and Crematory Services in Newton.

Richard E. "Dick" Dawson, 82, of Madison, Miss., formerly of Newton and Hickory, died Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2010. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at Willis-Reynolds Funeral Home and Crematory in Newton.

Hazel Lee Wood Jones Aldridge, 80, of Hickory, went home to be with her Lord, Thursday, Oct. 28, 2010, at Palliative CareCenter and Hospice of Catawba Valley in Newton. Burke Mortuary in Maiden is serving the Whitener family.

Ruby Linnes Goforth Holman, 77, of Newton, died Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2010, at her residence.

Neng Thor Xiong, 82, of Claremont, died Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2010, at his residence.
