Martin “Marty” Elkana Hollar, 48, of Conover, died Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at Wake Forest Baptist Health in Winston Salem.  A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 9, at 11 a.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Conover with Rev. Scott Johnson and Rev. Anton Lagoutine officiating.

Mitchell Allen Merck, 79,  of Iron Station, beloved husband of Yvonne Watson Merck, died at his home March 7, 2013 surrounded by his loving family. The funeral service will be held on March 9, at 3:30 p.m. at Amity Baptist Church in Denver.
