Nelson E. Parker, 77, born in Mayfield, N.Y., on Aug. 24, 1933, passed away peacefully Thursday, Jan. 20, 2011, at Palliative CareCenter & Hospice of Catawba Valley surrounded by multiple family members.  A private memorial service will be held at a later date in West Virginia.

Edward Blair Nuzum, 81, of Newton, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2011, at Abernathy Laurels.  Catawba Memorial Park Funerals and Cremations are providing professional services to the Nuzum family.

Romulus Dwight “RD” Little, 96 of Hickory, went to meet his wife in heaven, Jan. 19, 2011, at Palliative CareCenter of Catawba Valley.  Bass-Smith Funeral Home is serving the family of Romulus Dwight “RD” Little.

Clarsie Cooke Lemons, 82, of Conover, died Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2011, at her residence.  At the request of Lemons, no services will be held.

Linelle Lineberger Williams, 98, of Newton, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2011, at Abernathy Laurels in Newton.  Burke Mortuary in Newton is serving the Williams family.

Sybil Virginia Wray Becker, 85, of Conover, died Monday, Jan. 17, 2011, at Palliative CareCenter & Hospice of Catawba Valley.  The Becker family has entrusted funeral arrangements to Drum Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Conover.

Martin Edward "Windy" Winbauer Jr., 83, of Bradenton, Fla., died peacefully in his sleep Jan. 18, 2011, after experiencing multiple strokes.  A memorial Mass will be held at 1 p.m. Feb. 12, 2011, at St. Vincent's Catholic Church in Margate, Fla.
