Marjorie Ann Ferrell Wyke, 78, of Newton, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2010, at Palliative CareCenter and Hospice of Catawba Valley. Burke Mortuary in Newton is serving the Wyke family.

Ruth Marguerite Carroll, 83, of Newton, passed away Thursday, Aug. 12, 2010, at Catawba Valley Medical Center in Hickory. Burke Mortuary in Newton is serving the Carroll family.

James Arnold Weaver, 65, of Maiden, died Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2010, at his residence. The Weaver family has entrusted funeral arrangements to Drum Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Conover.  

Ruth Adele Bonnar Zimmerman, of Newton, died Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2010, after 91 years of living life on her own terms. The Zimmerman family has entrusted arrangements to Jenkins Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Newton.
