Joe Carroll Carter, 78, of Taylorsville, died Tuesday, March 26, 2011, at his residence.  The Carter family has entrusted funeral arrangements to Drum Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Conover. 

Margaret Frye Fisher, 91, of the Lutheran Home East in Hickory, formerly of Newton, died Tuesday, April 26, 2011, at the Lutheran Home.  The Fisher family has entrusted the funeral arrangements to Willis-Reynolds Funeral Home & Crematory in Newton.
