After giving up its first runs this postseason, the Fred T. Foard softball team trailed 2-0 in the middle of the fourth inning of its playoff game against North Iredell on Thursday.

Not willing to crumble under the pressure, the Lady Tigers scored four runs on four hits and a walk in the fourth inning, lifting them to a 4-2 victory against the Lady Raiders.

Foard (24-4) leads 1-0 in the best-of-three West Region series and is one game away from playing for a 3A state title in Raleigh.
