The Fred T. Foard softball team hosts North Iredell in the first game of a best-of-three West Regional championship series today.

The Lady Tigers (23-4), who won in the 10th inning against Franklin on Tuesday to advance to the title series, would also host a third game, if necessary, on Saturday at 7 p.m.

North Iredell (21-3) will host the second game of the three-game set on Friday at 6 p.m. in Olin.

The winner of the title series advances to play either Western Alamance (25-3) or Aycock (27-2) in next weekend's state championship game, which is being held in Raleigh at the Walnut Creek Softball Complex.

Fred T. Foard split the season series with North Iredell, winning 3-0 on March 17 and falling 2-0 on March 29.

Admission to each game in the title series is $7.
