The Hickory American Legion Fair celebrates 100 years in 2013.

Schedule to run Aug. 28 through Sept. 2, the fair will promote the milestone year with the theme  “Come celebrate with us.”

The fair board is also taking this year to celebrate the life and efforts of former fair president Steve Mains who passed away earlier this year. As a part of the opening ceremony, the fair board will dedicate the office building to Mains and all his hard work with the fair over the years.

During the celebration, all ages are welcome to enjoy food, shows, exhibits and ride specials scheduled for the five-day event.
