April 28, 2011

The 20-year-old driver in Tuesday's fatal accident is still in critical condition.
A N.C. Highway Patrol spokeswoman said Tyler Scott Good, of Newton, was listed in critical condition Thursday at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.
Good was driving a Mitsubishi Eclipse at 3:48 a.m. Tuesday when he lost control of his car, flipped and hit a tree on Mt. Beulah Road in Sherrills Ford. Also in the car with Good was passenger 17-year-old Jordan Bone, of Sherrills Ford, and back-seat passenger Michael Brandon Davis, 18, of Denver.
Bone died on the scene. Davis was ejected from the vehicle and transported to CMC in Charlotte in stable condition. Davis was released from CMC on Tuesday night.
Funeral services for Bone are at 3 p.m. Saturday at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Friday at Warlick Funeral Home.
Highway Patrol said Good was driving about 70 mph on the 45-mph road. No drugs or alcohol were involved in the accident. No charges have been filed.
