Firefighters rescued a dog from a burning home Monday just before the structure’s roof collapsed.

Crews responded to a structure fire about 10:40 a.m. Monday at the end of Turn Four Drive off Whitener Road between the Blackburn and Propst Crossroads communities.

The home was destroyed, but no one was inside when it caught fire.
