District Teacher of the Year honored

Shuford Elementary School's faculty and staff met to honor 2012-2013 Teacher of the Year Angie Sigmon on Wednesday, April 24.

At the beginning of the 2012-2013 school year, Sigmon was announced as the school's Teacher of the Year. To choose the Teacher of the Year, the school asks for nominees from faculty and staff. Once nominees are gathered the staff members vote on the candidates. Sigmon was announced the winner in the fall of 2012 and received a Teacher of the Year plaque.
