Dear editor: Bunker Hill helps prepare students for the future

October 7, 2010

Dear editor:
I want to commend Beth Parham and the teaching staff at Bunker Hill High School for “jumping on board” and taking advantage of the Microsoft program. Now that everything will be on computers, I feel that will be the best program to get work in the future.
My son Thad Henry Sparkman was a student at Bunker Hill High School 1968-1972. .He has been working in IT Health Programs for 45 years. He has attended three universities to get his education in IT. He is now teaching health information technology at Catawba Valley Community College. The program is available to a 37-county area in western North Carolina.
