Damage, but no injuries

April 12, 2013

A single car accident Thursday night just before 8 p.m., severely damaged an occupied residence at 3083 Buffalo Shoals Road, Maiden.

There were no injuries reported.

Bandys Fire Department officials said the occupants of the house were sitting in the room where the Honda passenger car struck.

“A gentleman was sitting in a recliner and heard tires skidding across the roadway and stood up to see what was happening,” Battalion Chief Matt Wingate said. “The car struck right where he had been sitting.”
