The Hickory Crawdads scattered 13 hits offensively and allowed only two by the Savannah Sand Gnats to earn the 7-1 victory Thursday on the road in South Atlantic League play.

Hickory's Jerad Eickhoff went five innings to earn the win, striking out three batters, walking two and allowing one run on two hits.

Crawdads reliever Santo Perez picked up the fourth-inning save, sitting down four Savannah batters on strikes and walking a pair.

Hickory (9-5) scored a run each in the first and second inning before plating five runs in three consecutive innings, including one run in the fifth inning and two each in the fourth and sixth.

Hanser Alberto, Rougned Odor and Jeremy Williams led the Crawdads offensively with an RBI each. Alberto and Odor both hit triples in the game, as well as left fielder Chris Grayson.
