'Dads Down In Series Finale

Hickory pitcher Jake Brigham threw five scoreless innings Monday against the Charleston RiverDogs. The sixth inning, however, put Brigham and the Crawdads down by 1, and Hickory was unable to recover.

The Charleston RiverDogs defeated the Hickory Crawdads 5-0 on Monday at L.P. Frans Stadium in the final game of the five-game series.

Charleston right fielder Deangelo Mack broke the scoreless tie with an RBI single in the top of the sixth inning. The RiverDogs scored four unearned runs in the top of the seventh innings against Brigham and relief pitcher Johan Yan. Brigham dropped to 3-4 after the loss.

Travis Adair led the Crawdads with two hits in Monday’s loss and improved his batting average to .342.
