'Dads beat 'Hoppers, 7-6, for second-straight day

For the second-straight day, the Hickory Crawdads picked up a 7-6 road victory over the Greensboro Grasshoppers on Tuesday.

The Crawdads remain undefeated in the month of July, improving to 10-3 in the second half and 46-36 overall.

'Dads pitcher Jerad Eickhoff picked up his 10th in of the season — the first Crawdad to accomplish the feat this season.

Offensively, first baseman Jhonny Gomez led the Crawdads with a three-RBI performance, while third baseman Drew Robinson and left fielder Trever Adams also drove in two RBIs each.

After a lengthy nine-game road tilt, Hickory returns to L.P. Frans Stadium on Wednesday for a Fourth of July celebration. The 'Dads welcome the Delmarva Shorebirds to Hickory for a 7 p.m. contest.
