CVS stores robbery

A Lincoln County woman was arrested Monday evening and charged in connection with a pair of pharmacy robberies in Newton and Conover.

The woman’s daughter, 19-year-old Chandra Griffin, who was in the vehicle when her mother was taken into custody, also faces misdemeanor drug charges, authorities say.

Authorities say Lorrie Kimberly Griffin, 45, of Denver, was charged with two counts of trafficking heroin; one count of maintaining a vehicle for a controlled substance; two counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon; and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
