CVCC receives diversity award

December 14, 2012

INSIGHT Into Diversity magazine recently recognized Catawba Valley Community College with the Higher Education Excellence in Diversity Award for its efforts to embrace diversity and inclusion in its faculty, staff, students and suppliers.

CVCC was one of only five community colleges in the country, and the only one in North Carolina, to receive the award.

Created by publishers of INSIGHT Into Diversity magazine, the Higher Education Excellence in Diversity Awards honor colleges and universities that are committed to diversity in not only race and ethnicity, but in gender, age, veteran status, people from LGBT communities, people with disabilities and other areas of human diversity.
