CVCC to open NJCAA tournament in Oklahoma

Catawba Valley Community College will open play at the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Div. II World Series on Saturday in Enid, Okla.

The Bucs, who are 36-15 on the season, face the Midwest/Region 24 champions, Heartland Community College (51-6), in the first game of the Series on Saturday at 9 a.m.

If victorious, CVCC would advance to play the winner of Madison College, of Wisc. (43-11) and Community College of Rhode Island (33-11).

If the Bucs lose, they would play the loser of the Madison College and Community College of Rhode Island contest.

All games can be watched on the NJCAA's website, www.njcaa.org, through NJCAA TV.
