CVCC men fall against CCCTI on court, 81-79

The Catawba Valley Community College men's basketball team suffered a setback to Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute on Monday, falling 81-79 at the Tarlton Complex.

K.J. Jones scored 26 points to lead CCCTI (1-3), while teammate Cordaris Townes added 12 points.

Caldwell led 43-41 at halftime.

Both teams shot over 57 percent from the field and over 78 percent from behind the 3-point line.

Anthony Hillard and Isaiah Cuthbertson each scored 14 points for CVCC (7-4). Cuthbertson added six rebounds in the victory.
