Crawdads take finale against RiverDogs, 7-3

Behind 14 hits, the Hickory Crawdads topped the Charleston RiverDogs in their series finale Thursday in South Carolina.

Hickory (32-27) scored two runs in the first inning and three runs in the fourth inning to pull out to the 5-0 lead and remain ahead the entire ball game.

Five Crawdads drove in one run each, including catcher Kellin Deglan, who hit a solo home run.

Luis Sardinas, Hanser Alberto, Jeremy Williams and Alejandro Selen also drove in one run each.

The Crawdads return home Thursday for the first of a three-game series against the Greenville Drive. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
