The Hickory Crawdads fell 7-2 to the Savannah Sand Gnats in their home return game from a lengthy seven-game road tilt.

First baseman Brian Harris led the Sand Gnats (21-12) with three RBIs on a 2-for-3 hitting performance from the plate.

Trever Adams drove in the lone RBI for Hickory (18-13).

The other Crawdads run was plated on a throwing error in the bottom of the sixth, allowing Chris Grayson to come across home plate.

Savannah's Domingo Tapla picked up the victory on the mound, while Hickory's Luke Jackson fell to 2-3 on the season with the loss.

The Crawdads and Sand Gnats play the second of a four-game series at L.P. Frans on Friday at 7 p.m.
