Couple reviving State Cinema

March 30, 2012

Roger and Lisa McCoy in the process of closing a deal to purchase the State Cinema. While the specifics are still being negotiated, the family has taken over the reins of the old theater — cleaning up, fixing up and preparing the old cinema for a new era of local screening that will begin this weekend.

“I’m going to try to bring things up to date,” Roger McCoy said. “At first, the biggest change is that it’s going to be a lot cleaner.”
