County to award $2.3 million contract

The Catawba County Board of Commissioners will award the bid for a new library when they meet at 7 p.m. on Monday, July 15, at the 1924 Courthouse at 30 North College Avenue in Newton.

Up for grabs is the bid for construction of a new Sherrills Ford-Terrell branch library to David E. Looper & Company of Hickory, in the amount of $2.3 million.
