County approves health merger

Catawba County Commissioners gave formal approval Monday to a health care merger between eight regional counties.

The merger creates Partners Behavioral Health Management, which will oversee delivery of mental health, developmental disability and substance abuse services to citizens in Catawba, Surry, Yadkin, Iredell, Burke, Lincoln, Gaston and Cleveland counties.
