Catawba County Animal Shelter is recognizing Adopt A Shelter Dog Month this October by offering half price adoptions through Oct. 19.

The adoption fee for a shelter dog during this period is only $37.50. The cost includes spaying/neutering, a microchip, a rabies vaccine, first round of vaccines and the dog's first vet visit. Adoptive parents can also take advantage of a free one-year membership to Riverbend and St. Stephen's dog parks.
