County’s proposed budget is official

The Catawba County Board of Commissioners  adopted a budget for the next fiscal year that exceeds 226.2 million dollars Monday morning.

The budget will keep the  property tax rate at 53 cents per $100 of property valuation. County Manager Tom Lundy said the budget  focuses on providing citizens with high quality service, while making strategic investments in the high priority areas of education, public safety, economic development and quality of life.
