Cops arrest 11 at Hickory adult club

Police arrested 11 people at a Hickory adult entertainment club last week on sex, alcohol and drug charges.


The charges stem from a five-month investigation at Thee Playhouse on N.C. 64-70 in Hickory, where N.C. Alcohol Law Enforcement (ALE) agents made drug purchases and observed multiple alcohol violations.


The club’s manager, Robert S. Cannon, 48, of 3816 Richard St. in Claremont, was among those arrested.

Thee Playhouse’s assistant manager, dancers and one bartender were also arrested during the execution of the search warrant.

“ALE had received numerous complaints from concerned citizens about Thee Playhouse, and we initiated an investigation,” said David Ashley, special agent in charge of District VII, Hickory. “More arrests are expected.”


Other arrested include:

* William Wayne Pickard, assistant manager of Thee Playhouse, 53, of 4696 Homestead Drive in Morganton. Pickard was arrested on charges of being a permittee's employee and knowingly allowing sexually explicit conduct to occur on ABC licensed premises, as well as knowingly allowing violations of the controlled substances to occur on licensed premises.


* Holly Danielle Scronce, a dancer at Thee Playhouse, 23, of 3453 Springs Road in Hickory.

Scronce was charged with two counts of sell//deliver schedule II (oxycodone), two counts of possession with intent to sell and deliver schedule II (oxycodone), and being a permittee's employee and engaging in sexually explicit conduct on ABC licensed premises.


* Tonya Marie Coulter, a bartender at Thee Playhouse, 33, of 3453 Springs Road in Hickory.

Coulter is charged with sell//deliver schedule II, two counts of possession with intent to sell and deliver schedule II (oxycodone and methylphenidate), possession with intent to sell and deliver schedule III (hydrocodone) and possession of drug paraphernalia.


* Lindsay Jewell Blalock, a dancer at Thee Playhouse, 23, of 2055 Startown Road in Lincolnton.

Blalock is charged with solicitation of prostitution, solicitation for crimes against nature, six counts of being a permittee's employee and engaging in sexually explicit conduct on ABC licensed premises, sell schedule II (oxycodone) and conspire to deliver schedule II (oxycodone).


* Lonnie Samuel Edward Pelliccia, 32, of 2306 Startown Road, Lincolnton.

Pelliccia is charged with conspiracy to sell schedule II (oxycodone), deliver schedule II (oxycodone) and possession with intent to deliver schedule II (oxycodone).


* Miranda Kay Wiggins, 20, of 1949 Ellick Drive in Newton.

Wiggins is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of another's drivers license.
n Charity Patrice Cambell, 26, of 9304 Amy Drive in Charlotte. Cambell is charged with possession of one-half ounce or less of marijuana.


* Chelsea Foster Jones, 23, 204 Heritage Drive in Valdese.
Jones is charged with possession of one-half ounce or less of marijuana.
n Christopher Raymond Greenhouse, 30, of 3443 Section House Road in Hickory. Greenhouse is charged with unauthorized possession of mixed beverage (in vehicle).


* Casey Michelle Keziah, 19, of 5061 Lineberger Loop Road in Denver.
Keziah is charged with underage possession of spirituous liquor.


In addition, there is an outstanding arrest warrant for:

* Amber Rose Kelley, dancer, 19, 465 Bruce Farm Road, Statesville.
Kelley is sought on charges of sell//deliver schedule II (oxycodone); possession with intent to sell/deliver schedule II (oxycodone); four counts of being a permittee's employee and engaging in sexually explicit conduct on ABC licensed premises; and obtaining money by false pretenses.
