Conover School principal receives regional award

Newton-Conover City Schools’ principals gathered together in the Newton-Conover Auditorium on Monday, Feb. 18, to surprise Conover School principal Dr. Betsy Rosenbalm. Once gathered together, Superintendent Barry Redmond, along with Monica Shepard, Regional Education Facilitator for Region VII, announced Rosenbalm was selected as the 2013 Wells Fargo Regional Principal of the Year.

“I was absolutely shocked,” Rosenbalm said. “There were a lot of great candidates.”
