Conover awards Cub Scout Leader

The Conover City Council met Monday night and handled a wide variety of municiple business.

First Methodist Church Cub Scout Pack 322 Cubmaster Pierre Rheeder was awarded the Mayor’s Citizenship Award for his leadership that guided  Pack 322 to be named  “Cub Scout Pack of the Year” for the Lakeland District in the Piedmont Council of the Boy Scouts of America.

Rheeder told the council and audience that he was proud of his Pack and all that they have accomplished and was glad to be recognized with the citizenship award since he had just became a citizen in July.

Rheeder moved here from South Africa.
