Clifton Smith appointed to complete Owsley’s term

Clifton Smith has been appointed by Gov. Pat McCrory to fill Judge L. Suzanne Owsley’s remaining term in 25th Prosecutorial District.

The appointed of Smith was officially announced on Friday.

Smith has served as the chief assistant district attorney for the past three years and has worked as an assistant district attorney since 2006.
