Churches United

August 8, 2014

The Friendship United Methodist Church of Newton celebrated their First Annual Community Unity event on Wednesday night where different churches from across the county, state or nation attended. The furthest group traveled from Maryland.

"Its exciting to get all the churches together to express in the name of God,” said Shirley Sherrill, president of the United Methodist Women's Council. “I believe it is the first of its kind here in Newton and the county. God works in mysterious ways and I'm thankful that we could put this event together for the community.”
