Charity kickball event

The Hickory Music Factory hosted its first annual charity kickball tournament this Saturday at Highland Recreation Center. Several local high school and college students as well as many adults competed in the event. The proceeds from this event will help to fund student music scholarships in addition to a number of other community development initiatives. Hickory Music Factory is a nonprofit that aims to foster musical interest and talent in the Catawba County area through outreach and educational programs, performances and individual lessons.
